Tottenham Hotspur has formally entered a new era following the departure of Daniel Levy, with Chief Executive Officer Vinai Venkatesham delivering his first official address.
In a video released by the club, Venkatesham outlined the future direction of the organisation while making it unequivocally clear that Tottenham Hotspur is not for sale.
He emphasised that the transition comes at a moment when the club is structurally prepared, noting that Levy’s 25-year tenure leaves behind a strong legacy.
Under Levy’s leadership, Spurs established world-class facilities, including a modern stadium and training centre, while also achieving long-term financial stability.
This foundation, Venkatesham stressed, ensures continuity as the club moves forward without disruption.
The Lewis family, majority stakeholders in Tottenham, reaffirmed their role as long-term custodians of the club.
According to Venkatesham, their ambition is not only to preserve ownership through future generations but also to pursue sustainable success.
Their vision prioritises growth across both the men’s and women’s teams, the development of academy talent, and adherence to financial regulations while avoiding the kind of speculation surrounding large transfer budgets. Stability, he added, will be a defining feature of this new phase.
A notable shift under Venkatesham is a renewed commitment to transparency and communication.
In contrast to Levy’s reserved style, which often left supporters distanced from boardroom decisions, Venkatesham presented himself as open and direct, stressing the importance of keeping fans informed.
His recognition of Tottenham Hotspur Women within the club’s broader ambitions further reflects a more inclusive and modern approach.
This first statement marks the beginning of Tottenham’s post-Levy identity: one grounded in continuity, ambition, and a decisive rejection of external takeover speculation.
