Venezuela's Forces Capture More Mercenaries of Botched Invasion

The Higher Commandment of the Venezuelan Army announced on Monday capturing eight mercenaries of the terrorist groups that had attempted to invade the country.

The army released a news statement said the the terrorists came from Colombia, one of the neighboring countries.

The mercenaries plotted to sneak to the country to topple the government and kill President Nicolas Maduro.

The Navy found and caught the eight terrorist as they were boarding a speed boat that infiltrated the territorial waters of Venezuela over the night hours.

The authorities declared that more than 45 mercenaries were detained for their role in the thwarted attempt to invade the country.

Among the detainees were two US citizens whom the state-run TV showed their Identification Cards (ID). One of the Americans said that he was tasked with raiding the international airport near the capital.

Another group was commissioned with arresting the Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro ahead of conveying him to the USA.

The Venezuelan army revealed that three of the captured terrorists were Colombians.
