The United Nations Security Council failed to adopt a resolution that would grant Palestine full membership in the UN, following a US veto, according to a breaking news report from Cairo News Channel.

The ongoing Israeli aggression in Gaza, which started on October 7th, continues to inflict severe casualties. The conflict has resulted in over 33,000 deaths, predominantly among women and children, with more than 75,000 injuries reported in an ongoing tally. Thousands remain trapped under rubble or left unattended on streets as Israeli forces hinder access by ambulance and civil defense teams.

Civilians in the Occupied Palestinian Territories, including Gaza, the West Bank, and East Jerusalem, face grave violations of international humanitarian law by Israeli forces. Reports indicate that civilian homes are being bombed, infrastructure and public facilities destroyed. Various types of weaponry, including internationally banned cluster bombs and white phosphorus, have been used, resulting in significant loss of civilian life and property.
