The US Pentagon unveiled a new military aid package for Ukraine worth $175 million. This comprehensive support includes for the first time, depleted uranium munitions, anti-tank weaponry, air defense systems, and various other equipment.

A US official informed CNN that the depleted uranium munitions can be fired from American Abrams tanks, which are expected to arrive in Ukraine this autumn.

Furthermore, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, during a surprise visit to Kyiv alongside his Ukrainian counterpart, Dmytro Kuleba, announced additional support amounting to $1 billion for Ukraine.

This support encompasses both military and humanitarian assistance, reinforcing Ukraine's counteroffensive against Russian forces.

Kuleba described American military aid as "the most profitable investment in global security" and emphasized that it is not merely charitable donations but rather the most lucrative investment for the United States in European and global security.

He also emphasized that the United States remains Ukraine's principal ally in countering Russian aggression, underscoring the enduring partnership between the two nations.

This significant boost in aid is expected to bolster Ukraine's capabilities in defending its sovereignty and security.
