US President Joe Biden will donate more than 500 million doses of Pfizer vaccine to 100 countries by the next year, media agencies reported on Thursday. Moreover, the Biden administration will announce starting purchasing the required number of doses today according to the newspaper.

It highlighted that the US will pay the prices of the vaccines, in addition, it will distribute the first 200 million vaccine doses by the end of this year, followed by distributing another 300 million doses.

The US will contribute with COVID-19 Vaccines Global Access (COVAX) for delivering the vaccine to the poor and needy countries.

It is worthy to mention that the United Nations called the leaders of rich and developed countries to donate to poor countries with their extra COVID-19 vaccine doses.

The world organization asserted that this crisis will be ended through working together. Also, UNICEF warned the world leaders that if they don’t send their extra vaccine doses as one shipment, they would be expired or wasted.

Also, it directed its call to the world leaders of the G7 Summit especially the UK.

It called the kingdom for donating 20% of its COVID-19 vaccines to the other countries that need vaccines in early June, The Guardian reported on Wednesday.
