The United States is considering deploying its military drones across several African countries along the Atlantic Coast to combat the expansion of extremist groups such as the Islamic State and Al Qaeda, reports the Wall Street Journal, citing insider sources.

Sources indicate that preliminary discussions are underway regarding the utilization of airfields in Ghana, Ivory Coast, and Benin.

These drones are poised to enhance the US's ability to monitor the activities of militants and offer critical tactical guidance to local forces engaged in combat operations.
