The United States (U.S.) denounced on Tuesday the recent Iran-aligned Houthi militia attacks on Saudi Arabia.

In a press conference, U.S. State Department Spokesman Ned Price described those attacks as 'unacceptable,' and 'dangerous', putting civilians at risk, including Americans.

Moreover, Price stressed that Houthis must stop attacking and show their willingness to engage in a political process and start negotiating to achieve peace in Yemen.

Earlier today, the Arab coalition intercepted and destroyed a drone launched by the Houthi militia toward Khamis Mushait city, Saudi Arabia.

Late Sunday, Saudi Arabia confirmed that one of its oil storage yards at the Ras Tanura port was targeted by a Houthi drone attack on a petroleum tank farm at Ras Tanura port, according to a statement from a source at the Kingdom’s Energy Ministry.

The attack did not result in any injury or loss of life or property, authorities from Saudi Arabia’s Energy Ministry confirmed.

“The source from the Saudi Arabian Energy Ministry said that the Kingdom affirms that these sabotage attacks are a flagrant violation of all international laws and norms, and that, to the extent that they are treacherous and cowardly targeting the Kingdom, they target, to a greater extent, the global economy,” a statement released by the Saudi Press Agency read.
