US, Pakistan Reaffirm Commitment to Middle East Stability

Pakistani Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif held a telephone conversation with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, during which both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to advancing bilateral cooperation and regional peace.

Prime Minister Sharif expressed his appreciation for the bold and decisive leadership of US President Donald Trump in brokering the recent ceasefire between Iran and Israel. He also thanked Secretary Rubio for the United States’ constructive role in facilitating the ceasefire between Pakistan and India.

The two leaders agreed to intensify efforts to strengthen Pakistan–U.S. ties, particularly through increased trade and economic collaboration.

In discussing recent developments in the Middle East, Prime Minister Sharif reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to playing a constructive role in supporting regional peace and stability.

Secretary Rubio welcomed Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts and conveyed the US interest in working closely with Pakistan to promote security and peace across the region.
