US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and his Japanese counterpart Kamikawa Yoko, discussed a range of bilateral, regional and global issues, including the need to increase humanitarian aid to Gaza and the importance of strong and sustained support for Ukraine.
The two sides also discussed continuing positive momentum in trilateral cooperation between US, Japan, and Korea following 'Camp David' summit in August.

Furthermore, US Secretary-General renewed his country's firm commitment to defending Japan.
