The U.S. envoy to Lebanon, Amos Hochstein, emphasized that the United States is working tirelessly to achieve a ceasefire in Lebanon.
In statements broadcast by the American channel Al-Hurra today, Saturday, Hochstein said, "There is an ongoing campaign of bombardment on Beirut that must stop," adding, "We are trying to put an end to this shelling."
Yesterday, the Lebanese Ministry of Public Health announced the martyrdom of three people, including a two-year-old girl and a 16-year-old girl, and the injury of three others in an Israeli airstrike on Baysariyeh in the Sidon district, southern Lebanon.
The Israeli occupation continues its intense assault on various Lebanese towns, launching several airstrikes targeting the towns of Mifdoun, Zawtar El Gharbiyeh, Kfarsir, Zibdin, Kawthariyet El Rizz, Nabatieh, Tyr Debba, Qana, Dhahira, Majdal Zoun, Al-Mansouri (Tyre), Kafrdan, Nabi Sheet, and Sarin Al Tahta (Baalbek).
