US Embassy in Israel issued a warning on Sunday, advising its citizens to avoid travel to northern Israel, Lebanon, and Gaza unless absolutely necessary, following the escalation of tension and conflict between Israel and Hezbollah earlier in the day.
In a statement reported by Alhurra TV, the U.S. Embassy noted that it is continuously and closely monitoring the security situation following the escalation. It also indicated that additional restrictions may be imposed or that U.S. government employees and their families may be barred from traveling to certain areas in Israel.
The embassy advised that American citizens can find additional information on the steps to take in the event of rocket or missile attacks targeting Israel, the West Bank, and Gaza.
