President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received on Wednesday a delegation from the US House of Representatives, headed by Republican Representative August Pfluger, the chairman of the Counterterrorism, in the presence of Sameh Shoukry, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Major General Abbas Kamel, Head of General Intelligence.
During the meeting, both sides stressed the strength and solidity of the strategic partnership between Egypt and the United States, ad affirmed the role of Congress in strengthening these relations and pushing them to broader horizons, especially in light of the multiple challenges at the regional and international levels, The official spokesman for the Presidency of the Republic, Counselor Dr. Ahmed Fahmy said.
In the same context, the members of the US delegation appreciated the pivotal role played by Egypt in strengthening the foundations of regional security and stability, praising the joint coordination between Egypt and the United States in various fields, which reflects positively on the interests of the two friendly peoples and on the region.
