The Pentagon announced that the US State Department has approved the sale of missile update equipment to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) worth $144 million.

The US Department of Defense stated that it has approved a potential sale to the UAE, including updates to anti-radiation missile control units and related equipment, totaling around $144 million.

The primary contractor for this deal will be Raytheon Technologies Corp.

Last month, the US Department of Defense disclosed that the State Department had approved a potential deal to sell multi-function information distribution systems to Saudi Arabia at a cost of $101.1 million.

The sale aims to enhance the security of the kingdom, which the US statement referred to as a force for political stability and economic progress in the Gulf region.
