US Allocates $67 Mln in Additional Aid for Lebanese Army

In a press conference, US under Secretary of State Victoria Nuland revealed additional US aid for the Lebanese army, worth $67 million, bringing  total support this year to $187 million.

"We have provided more than $300 million in humanitarian support to Lebanon this year," she added.

"We affirmed, as usual, our unwavering support for the Lebanese Army and the Internal Security Forces. We recognize the vital role they play in maintaining security and stability there, and the difficult task assigned to them," she said.

"I express my condolences on behalf of the American people for the tragic loss of lives this morning".
