Since the conflict began on February 24, more than 1.5 million refugees have fled Ukraine to neighbouring nations, according to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).

"In just ten days, more than 1.5 million Ukrainian refugees have fled into neighbouring countries — the fastest-growing refugee crisis in Europe since World War II," UN High Commissioner for Refugees Filippo Grandi posted on Twitter.

The figure is rapidly increasing, having risen from 1.2 million on Friday.

According to estimates from the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (UNHCR), at least 351 civilians have been killed and 707 others injured in Ukraine since Russia initiated its attack on its neighbour as of March 5.

According to the United Nations, 41 women and 22 children were among the 351 murdered.

The international world has reacted angrily to Russia's invasion of Ukraine, with the EU, the United Kingdom, and the United States, among others, imposing a variety of economic penalties on Moscow.
