The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Egypt launched the "Damg Initiative" for Persons with Disabilities (PwD) in partnership with the Ministry of Technology and Information.
The new initiative aims to enhance inclusion of PwD in social, educational and economic activities without barriers, through the use of assistive technologies, according to UNDP.
It will also provide additional training to support and empower women and entrepreneurs with disabilities, and to ensure equal opportunities for all, UNDP noted.
As a part of this initiative, we created a new educational website that provides options for greater accessibility for users with disabilities, said Yassmin Gamal, one of the initiative founders.
