Speculation is mounting over the future of Enzo Fernandez at Chelsea FC following recent remarks by his agent Javier Pastore regarding the player’s contract situation.

Pastore revealed that discussions with Chelsea are expected to resume after the upcoming World Cup, stressing that the midfielder’s current performances warrant improved financial terms.

He indicated that negotiations over a new deal had stalled, despite Fernandez still having six years remaining on his existing contract.

He added that both the player and his representatives were dissatisfied with the proposed terms, leading to a decision not to renew at this stage.

Pastore also suggested that alternative options could be considered if no agreement is reached in future talks.

The situation has been further complicated by disciplinary action from Chelsea, who recently suspended Fernandez for two matches following comments that fueled uncertainty about his long-term intentions.

Fernandez had previously hinted at a possible move to Madrid, stating after Chelsea’s defeat to Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Champions League that he would reassess his future after the World Cup.

With negotiations on hold and interest in his next move growing, the coming months are expected to be decisive in determining whether Fernandez remains at Stamford Bridge or seeks a new challenge elsewhere.
