The UN Security Council will hold a meeting devoted to Ukraine on January 13, according to next week’s program of Japan’s chairmanship at the Council made public on Saturday.
The session is scheduled for 20:00 GMT. The specific subject has not yet been indicated.
Last December, the UN Security Council held a session on the humanitarian situation in Ukraine, at the request of France and Mexico.
The meeting came one day after the UN announced that High Commissioner for Human Rights Volker Türk had begun a four-day visit to Ukraine, accompanied by the staff of the UN Human Rights Monitoring Mission there.
Ukraine has been regularly on the agenda of the Security Council since the launch of Russia's special military operation in late February 2022.
