The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) said that the ongoing bombardment in Lebanon threatens access to humanitarian aid and protection, with the highest number of airstrikes reported in the past few days since the cessation of hostilities agreement. The economic cost of the conflict in Lebanon has reached $14 billion, with total reconstruction and recovery costs estimated at $11 billion, with the housing sector bearing the brunt of the losses.
According to the International Organization for Migration, 92,825 people remain displaced from their communities in Lebanon, while the recent escalation of violence in Syria has led to the arrival of 10,000 new refugees in the northern governorates.
