The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), said it will cost around $1.2 billion to provide for the needs of 2.7 million people in the Israeli-occupied Gaza Strip and 500,000 people in the West Bank until the end of the year.

OCHA initially requested $294 million to provide aid for 1.3 million people, but the situation has become more dire since then. The aid supply to Gaza has been heavily impacted since Israel began bombing the region following attacks by Hamas gunmen on October 7th.

Aid organizations claim that the current level of aid is not nearly enough to meet the needs of the Gaza residents. In addition to the large number of casualties, the heavy bombardment by Israeli forces has made it difficult for aid workers to deliver the much-needed supplies.
