The Ukrainian Prosecutor General’s Office announced Saturday that 344 children have been killed and 640 have been wounded in the country since the start of the Russian military operation on February 24.

Earlier, the Ukrainian authorities reported that at least 17 people were killed and others wounded in Russian missile strikes targeting a residential building and a recreational facility in the “Odessa” region.

In a statemnet, the Ukrainian emergency services said that 14 people were killed and 30 injured after a missile hit a nine-storey building in the town of “Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi” in the “Odessa” region.

In a related context, the emergency services added that another missile targeted a recreation center in the “Belgorod-Dniester” region, killing at least 3 people, including a child, and wounding another person.

It is worth mentioing that, Taras Vysotsky, Ukraine’s Deputy Prime Minister for Agriculture and Food Affairs said on Sunday that since the start of the Russian war, the agriculture sector in Ukraine has incurred losses reaching $4.3 billion.

Vysotsky warned, in a statement carried by the Ukrainian news agency, “Ukrainform”, that Russia is deliberately destroying the agricultural infrastructure in Ukraine.

He noted that according to a study prepared by the Center for Food and Land Use Research Kyiv School of Economics (KSE), the losses of Ukrainian agriculture from the conflict with Russian have already amounted to $4.3 billion.

According to Vysotsky, there were about 1.5 million tons of grain in those regions according to the records, and now Ukrainians who are there reported that there is an export of these grains.

He explained that he found out while gathering information that there are about 400,000 tons of grain exported by Russia.
