Ukraine has indicated its readiness for negotiations with Russia, as stated by Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba during discussions with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi on Wednesday.
This development comes despite an existing legal ban on peace talks with Russia, reflecting a potential change in Ukrainian rhetoric influenced by the current US election cycle and Ukraine's dependency on American aid.
Kuleba emphasized Ukraine's willingness to engage in dialogue with Russia, marking a notable departure from previous stances.
Meanwhile, Russian President Vladimir Putin has reiterated that for peace to be achieved, Ukraine must adopt a neutral, non-aligned, and non-nuclear status, along with the withdrawal of Ukrainian troops from newly integrated Russian regions.
