British Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper welcomed on Monday the partial reopening of Rafah border crossing between Gaza Strip and Egypt, while emphasizing that further efforts are urgently needed.
"I welcome the reopening of the Rafah crossing for pedestrian movement in both directions, allowing those in desperate need of medical care to reach Egypt," she said in a post on "X" (formerly Twitter).
"However, much more remains to be done. Aid must flow, restrictions on essential supplies must be eased, and relief workers must be allowed to continue their vital work," she added.
