The United Kingdom has summoned Israel’s ambassador in London in protest against the controversial E1 settlement plan in the occupied West Bank, according to Alqahera News.

The move underscores growing international concern over Israel’s settlement expansion, which critics say undermines prospects for a two-state solution.

The E1 project, which envisions connecting Jerusalem with the large Ma’ale Adumim settlement, has long been considered a red line by the international community, as it would effectively split the West Bank in two and obstruct the territorial continuity of a future Palestinian state.

In a separate development, 27 countries jointly called on Israel to immediately allow foreign media access to the Gaza Strip, where restrictions on journalists have fueled concerns about transparency and independent reporting on the humanitarian situation.

The coordinated appeal by the 27 nations reflects mounting pressure on Israel amid ongoing conflict and growing calls for international accountability.

Neither the Israeli government nor its embassy in London had issued an immediate response to the diplomatic steps and calls from the international community.
