On the other hand, the Ministry of Civil Aviation welcomed the decision of the British government to resume British flights to the resort of Sharm el-Sheikh.

The Ministry also expressed its hope that this step will represent a beginning of a new phase that witnesses more British tourist flights coming to all Egyptian airports.

Noteworthy, the number of tourists coming from Britain has increased in recent years despite the restrictions imposed on flights to Sharm el-Sheikh airport. Nearly 415,000 British tourists visited Egypt in 2018.
