The UK police launched on Sunday a murder investigation after a 44 year old woman died after being exposed to a nerve agent Novichok, which was linked to the poisoning of a former Russian spy Sergei Skripal, The Daily Mirror reported.

Dawn Sturgess has died in hospital after she was exposed to the poisoning gas. "Her family has been informed and is receiving support from specially trained family liaison officers," the Metropolitan police has said in a statement.

Meanwhile, UK Prime Minister Theresa May said her "thoughts and condolences" are with Dawn's family.
