On Tuesday, Uganda accused the US ambassador Natalie E. Brown of seeking to subvert the latest presidential election.

The main reason for this accusation was the ambassador's trial to visit Bobi Wine in his name which is currently heavily surrounded by security officers. They prevented Bobi Wine from leaving his home since the voting on Thursday.

The U.S. embassy expressed on Monday that the ambassador was stopped from visiting Bobi Wine. It was reported that Brown wanted to check on his health and safety.

Moreover, the pop star said on Twitter that "no one had been allowed in and he and his wife had run out of food, and milk for her 18-month-old niece."

Police spokesman Fred Enanga said a motorcycle courier was delivering food to Bobi Wine’s house each day according to Reuters.

On the other hand, Government spokesman Ofwono Opondo highlighted that Brown had no business to visit Bobi Wine.

Opondo explained, “What she has been trying to do blatantly is to meddle in Uganda’s internal politics, particularly elections, to subvert our elections and the will of the people,” he said. “She shouldn’t do anything outside the diplomatic norms.”

The result of the elections was announced on Saturday. The incumbent president Yoweri Kaguta Museveni won the elections.
