Well experienced French Sébastien Desabre is Uganda's coach. He previously trained Egypt's Ismaili and is one of the candidates to take over Al-Ahly's training after the African Cup of Nations.

Uganda's most notable players are goalkeeper Onyango, who was named in the CAF Africa's Best Eleven and currently the highest paid in Uganda in terms of market value, as well as Farouk Miya and Egyptian league player Derrick Nsibambi.

Desabre is a very talented coach, who has done excellent results with Uganda. Uganda won 3-0 in a friendly match against Zimbabwe ahead of the AFCON.

Uganda plays an open 4-4-2 or 4-3- 2-1. The team depends on a single striker along with high pressure in the midfield. They have a very high physical strength and keep one of the best midfielders, Farouk Miya.

Uganda has defeated DR.Congo with two clean goals in their  Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) opener game.
