Uganda Clinch 1st Victory of AFCON, Beating DR.Congo (2-0)

Uganda's football team defeated DR.Congo with unanswered two goals in their first game of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

After only fourteen minutes, the cranes managed to score their first goal when Uganda's Patrick Kaddu header hit Leopards's net.

Three minutes after the beginning of the second half, Emmanuel Okwi added the second goal, which was enough to secure the first- three-point.

It is worth mentioning that the Pharaohs managed to defeat the Warriors with unanswered one goal in the opening match of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations, in the presence of 74,000 fans.

Uganda will play their second game against Zimbabwe on Wednesday, June 26 at 19:00 pm CLT, while DR.Congo will face the host on Wednesday, June 26 at 22:00 CLT.
