Few minutes ago, Super Middleweight Champion Saul “Canelo” Alvarez defeated Edgar Berlanga during UFC 306 event at T-Mobile Arena Las Vegas, Nevada.
Making his eighth super middleweight title defence, Alvarez dominated the majority of the fight, making use of his experience and techniques to end the game for his favor.
This game was the first loss for Barlanga in his career.
After the fight, Alvarez said: “I did good. Now what are they going to say? They said I don’t fight young fighters."
He also said about his fans: “They always talk, but I’m the best fighter in the world.”
Judges Max DeLuca and Steve Weisfeld scored 118-109, and judge David Sutherland had it 117-110.
Alvarez who is proud of his Mexican spirits, added: “I got a little angry with his tactics, but I’m Mexican man,” Alvarez said. “It means a lot to fight on this day. It’s an honor to represent my country on this day.”
This day could be the best celebration of the Mexicans on the night that marked the Mexican Independence Day.
This night is a big Mexican MMA night not only for the victory of Alvarez, but also for the presence of seven Mexican MMA fighters enlisted in the event, including Alvarez.
