The Joint Operations Command of the UAE Defense Ministry has announced its intention to establish three desalination plants in Rafah within the Gaza Strip as part of the "Al-Fares Al-Shahm 3" humanitarian operation to support the Palestinian people

Each plant's production capacity, according to the UAE's official news agency WAM, will reach 200,000 gallons per day, with a total of 600,000 gallons, benefiting 300,000 people daily.

"This initiative embodies the historical supportive and backing stances of the UAE towards its Palestinian brethren, standing by them during the difficult circumstances they currently face," WAM reported.

It's worth noting that the "Al-Fares Al-Shahm 3" operation was launched on November 5th, led by the Joint Operations Command at the UAE Ministry of Defense, in cooperation and coordination with the UAE Red Crescent Authority, the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation for Humanitarian Works, the Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, and other humanitarian and charitable organizations in the UAE.

Its aim is to provide humanitarian support to the Palestinian people in Gaza. Additionally, it has opened the door for medical professionals registered with the Ministry of Health and the Health Authority of Abu Dhabi to volunteer, along with volunteers registered with the Red Crescent and UAE humanitarian and charitable organizations.
