The United Arab Emirates announced on Monday the resumption of direct flights between the UAE and Syria, marking a significant step in restoring air connectivity between the two nations.
According to a statement reported by the Emirates News Agency (WAM), the UAE's General Civil Aviation Authority confirmed that joint coordination is currently underway to finalize the necessary procedures to fully restart air operations.
The move aims to boost air traffic and strengthen the flow of passengers and cargo between the two countries, supporting broader economic and diplomatic ties.
The announcement comes amid ongoing efforts by several Arab states to reestablish relations with Syria after years of regional tensions.
