UAE, Qatar Qualify for 2027 AFC Asian Cup Tournament

On Tuesday, The UAE National Football team successfully qualified for the 2027 AFC Asian Cup tournament after thrashing Yemen's nets 3-0.

The game was hosted at Prince Saud bin Jalawi Stadium in KSA. It was part of the games of the fourth round's competitions for the 2027 AFC Asian Cup qualifiers.

UAE were not the only ones who captured their tickets to the 2027 AFC Asian Cup tournament.

The Qatari National Football team, the title holders, qualified for the tournament after defeating Kuwait 2-1.

On the other hand, KSA had a 1-1 draw with Tajikistan in their yesterday's game, however, KSA National Football team are still keeping their position at the top of their group's standings. 

In the previous edition, Qatar won the 2023 AFC Asian Cup tournament, retaining their title, after defeating Jordan 3-1 in the final of the tournament.

Qatar retained their title at Lusail Stadium, the stadium that hosted the final of the 2022 FIFA World Cup, thanks to Akram Afif's three penalty shots.

After the victory, Qatar became the first team to win the tournament back-to-back since 2004.

In the same context, Jordan's Crown Prince Al Hussein greeted his country's national team for reaching the final of the tournament for the first time in their history.
