Early Sunday, two trains collided between the two train stations of Abu Qurqas and Al Minya.
The collision caused that two railcars to fall in the waters of the Ibrahimiya Canal.
The Ministry of Health pushed more than 25 ambulances to the scene to save the passengers.
In addition, the Ministry of Transportation issued a statement on the accident, revealing that the final railcar of sleeping train 1087 was hit by another vehicle. The train was on its way from Aswan to Cairo, and the collision took place between Abu Qurqas and Al Minya.
Transportation Minister Kamel Al Wazer directed the ministry to follow up the aftermath of the accident and investigate the reasons behind it.
