Two Major Characters to Return for "Squid Game" Season 2

Squid Game” creator Hwang Dong-hyuk unveiled the return of two major characters in the second season.

He shared actor Park Hae-soo, who played Cho Sang-woo, and and one of the main antagonists are set to return in the upcoming season of the Korean dystopian drama.

“Gi-hun for sure. He will be back and I believe the Front Man will back too,” Hwang added.

Gi-hun, played by the now-SAG Award-winning actor Lee Jung-jae, is the series protagonist that survives the gauntlet of deadly children’s games whose return is teased at the very end of the first season.

On the other hand, the Front Man, portrayed by superstar actor Lee Byung-hun, is the villain and boss of the deadly games that pit 456 cash-strapped players against each other for a 45.6 billion prize.

"Squid Game" was first announced in 2019 and debuted on September 17, 2021 on Netflix.
