The first look at Egyptian stars Asmaa Galal and Hesham Maged's upcoming TV series "Ashghal Shaqa" has been unveiled.
The cast also includes Sherine, Salwa Mohammad Ali, Rahma Ahmed Farag, Moustafa Gharieb, and more.
Khaled Diab directed the series from a script he co-wrote with Sherine Diab.
The plot revolves around a forensic doctor who marries a broadcaster, however, he is not good at dealing with women, which puts him in many ordeals, especially with his wife’s friends.
"Ashghal Shaqa" is set to screen on the "Shahid VIP" streaming platform during the holy month of Ramadan.
Maged, born on April 26, 1980, graduated from Cairo University.
During university, he created the Tamr Hendi production company with his friends which produced films that ridiculed famous Egyptian films.
They created the film “Men Who Do Not Know the Impossible”, a project that attracted the attention of Mohamed Hefzy, who at the time was trying his hand at production.
Hefzy produced their first TV series “Afeesh wa Tashbeeh” that cynically tackled Egyptian classics in each episode.
He also produced the trio's 2008 film "Waraqat Shifra" which was a big hit at the box office.
Maged starred and scripted the film which familiarized his face to audience. He won the award of the “Best New Faces” Award for the year, in participation with his mates Ahmed Sabry and Chico.
