Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu has confirmed that Egypt and Turkey are working to enhance cooperation between both countries in all fields.
In a joint press conference with Egyptian FM Sameh Shoukry, Çavuşoğlu explained that his country is looking to increase Turkish investments in Egypt to $15 billion in the next five years.
Moreover, he stressed that Tutkey is looking to enhance cooperation with Egypt in the energy sector, adding that there has been a significant increase in the number of Turkish tourists to Egypt after the issuance of Turkish visas at Egyptian airports.
Furthermore, Turkish FM thanked Egypt for the restoration of Süleyman Pasha Mosque, which is the first historical Turkish mosque in Egypt.
In addition, Çavuşoğlu explained that his consultations with Shoukry touched on the situation in Syria, Libya, and Iraq, affirming that relations and consultations will be strengthened in the coming period.
