Spain face a tough test tonight as they visit Turkey in a crucial Group E clash of the European qualifiers for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, set to take place across the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

The game will take place at the Medas Konya Büyükşehir Stadium.

La Roja began their qualifying campaign in style, claiming a comfortable 3-0 away win over Bulgaria to take an early lead at the top of the group.

Turkey, meanwhile, enter the match in high spirits after edging Georgia 3-2 on Thursday.

History favors Spain in this fixture, with five wins compared to just one for Turkey, while two meetings ended in draws.

Spain have also won their last three encounters with the Turks, including a 3-0 victory at Euro 2016, when Álvaro Morata struck twice in the group stage.

While Luis de la Fuente’s side enjoyed a smooth start, this contest promises to be a more demanding challenge.

A victory in Konya would further strengthen Spain’s grip on the group, and given their quality and experience, it would be a major surprise if they fail to book a direct ticket to next summer’s World Cup.
