The Turkish lira lost about 1% of its value against the dollar on Tuesday, continuing its decline since last month's elections and after the formation of the new government at the weekend, Reuters reported.
The lira, which was under pressure amid strong demand for foreign currency, fell, recording 21.45 liras against the US currency, bringing its losses to about 13% since the beginning of the year.
