Egypt’s Suez Canal Authority has received renewed international praise following its historic handling of the EVERGIVEN container ship crisis, that once disrupted global trade and drew worldwide attention.
The EVERGIVEN, a Panama-flagged mega container ship operated by Evergreen Marine, ran aground in the Suez Canal in March 2021, blocking one of the world’s most vital shipping lanes for nearly a week.
