Turkey has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip, following the recent ceasefire, which it helped facilitate in close coordination with the Arab Republic of Egypt.

In a post, the Turkish Ambassador to Cairo, Salih Mutlu Şen, stated that Ankara has emphasized its intention to continue contributing to Gaza’s recovery through both official institutions and civil society organizations.

As part of this ongoing support, the Turkish Humanitarian Relief Foundation (İHH) has already begun field operations in northern Gaza — one of the areas most severely affected by destruction during the recent conflict. The İHH’s efforts currently focus on removing debris, reopening roads, and restoring environmental hygiene in the devastated region.

In addition to these early recovery activities, humanitarian assistance continues to be delivered with the aim of improving living conditions for Palestinian civilians in the post-ceasefire phase.

Turkey’s government reiterated that it considers restoring dignity and basic living conditions for the Palestinian people a humanitarian priority and pledged sustained engagement in partnership with Egypt and the broader international community.
