Turkey Prevents Wife of Al-Qaradawi's Son Back to Cairo

Abdul Rahman Yusuf al-Qaradawi's wife, who is currently residing in Istanbul, revealed, on Saturday evening, the details of the Turkish authorities' preventing her return to Egypt with her children, according to Sky News Arabia.

Marwa Ashour appeared, in a TV interview, in which she talked about the Turkish authorities' move to prevent her from traveling and returning to Cairo with her children, despite her proper papers.

Al-Qaradawi’s son’s wife said: “I was surprised to find a small paper with airport officials in my name and my daughters to prevent me from traveling, and I waited inside the airport for a period of more than 4 hours without response.”

In her speech during the TV interview, Ashour added that officials at the airport began asking her strange questions, such as “How did you come to the airport?” and “Where is the father of the children?” She said that these are personal questions that they are not entitled to be asked.

Al-Qaradawi’s son’s wife revealed that the Turkish court issued a ruling preventing her three children, who are 3 girls aged 9, 5, and 4 years old, from traveling, because going to Egypt "exposes them to danger."

She indicated that her husband used his authority and his relations with Turkish officials to prevent her from traveling, and said that he “was threatening me that he knew people in the office of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.”

A few weeks ago, she appeared in a video on her pages on social media to announce that she had asked for a porce from her husband Abdel-Rahman, due to his many women's relations and his scandals in Turkey and Qatar, appealing to the Egyptian and Turkish government and human rights organizations to release her and her daughters from her husband.

She confirmed that since her marriage to al-Qaradawi`s son 12 years ago, she has faced many problems and that she lives with a mysterious person about whom she does not know anything.
