The Egyptian National Authority for Tunnels denied any damage to the monorail project in the "Butcher" incident, who installed an iron cutter on one of the monorail's columns.
The Authority stated that the column visible in the incident was inspected and that there were no damages on it, and that it had taken all legal measures to arrest the perpetrator of that incident.
The authority issued an official statement after circulating pictures of one of the butchers who hung parts of the meat on one of the pillars of the monorail project east of the National Nile, and the perpetrator of the incident installed one of the iron cutters in the pillar, as well as equipment and a gas cylinder for slaughtering and cooking meat.
The authority’s statement indicated that coordination took place between the Ministry of Transport and the perpetrator of the incident was arrested for violating the state’s public facilities.
