On Thursday, Tunisian popular tennis star and 2022 US Open women's single finalist Ons Jabeur announced that she will not participate in the upcoming US Open tournament due to a shoulder injury.
It was expected that Jabeur will be seeded No. 17, and her withdrawal from the event.
Jabeur is still chasing her dreams for capturing her first grand slam title. She reached three grand slam tournaments final.
The Tunisian was forced to withdraw from various tournaments, including the 2024 Paris Olympics, Washington, D.C. and Cincinnati due to injury.
This season was hard for Jabeur as she sustained various injuries including a chronic knee problem in February, and a right shoulder injury in the past few weeks.
She was also eliminated early from Toronto tournament.
