Tunisia’s Master International Film Festival to Honor Iconic Actress Yousra

Egyptian iconic actress Yousra is set to be honored at the opening ceremony of the 2nd Master International Film Festival (MIFF), in Yasmine Hammamet City, Tunisia.

The veteran actress will be feted alongside Salma Bakkar, Fathi El Hadawi, Farid Bougdir, and Dorra Zarrouk.

The MIFF will return for a second edition on May 6-13, opening with the 2022 Indian movie "Chhello Show" or "Last Film Show", directed by Ban Nalin.

Directed by Pan Nalin, ‘Chhello Show’ is a Gujarati-language coming-of-age drama about a nine-year-old boy, Samay (Bhavin Rabari), who is ensnared by the magic of cinema and sets forth to fulfill his celluloid dreams.

It stars Bhavin Rabari, Bhavesh Shrimali, Richa Meena, Dipen Raval, and Paresh Mehta. The film premiered at the 20th Tribeca Film Festival in June 2021 and was theatrically released in India in October 2022.

Yousra, born on March 10, 1955, is an actress, a singer, a United Nations Goodwill Ambassador, and a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.

The iconic cinematic legend is one of the most recognizable names in the region and has been gracing the silver screen for more than 50 years.

Since the 1970s, Yousra has starred in some of the most important films in the history of Egyptian cinema, appearing in over 100 films.

Her roles in films and TV series continue to influence and inspire generations to this day.
