Tunisia has recorded on Monday zero new coronavirus cases for the first time since early March, according to health authorities.

The Tunisian government is about to further relax restrictions on movement and businesses.

Tunisia has far registered 1,032 Coronavirus cases, including 45 deaths.

The North Africa country, which has about 500 intensive care beds, said that 745 patients recovered and only 11 were still in the hospital.

It is worth mentioning that, several Arab countries have tightened restrictions on movement and travel, with the aim of curbing the spread of the Coronavirus, and some have pledged billions of dollars in economic stimulus programs to reduce the economic repercussions of the crisis.

The World Health Organization (WHO) declared coronavirus a global pandemic as the new virus has rapidly spread to more than 121,000 people from Asia to the Middle East, Europe, and the United States.

Transmission of virus between humans happens when someone comes into contact with an infected person’s secretions, such as droplets in a cough.

It can also be transmitted by coming into contact with something an infected person has touched and then touching your mouth, nose, or eyes.

People across the globe partake in self-isolation as an effective precautionary measure to protect those around them and themselves from contracting COVID-19.
