On Tuesday, the Tunisian Football Association announced that it terminated the contract of the Tunisian national first football team Faouzi Benzarti.
Benzarti was appointed to lead the team last June, replacing another Tunisian coach Montasser Louhichi.
Benzarti previously held this position three times in several occasions.
Tunisia lost to Comoros, ranked 118th in the latest FIFA standings, during the third and fourth rounds of qualification for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (CAN-2025).
The Tunisian team had a home defeat in the third round (1-0) before drawing the next match (1-1) at the Alassane Ouattara Stadium in Abidjan.
Currently, Tunisia lead Group A with 7 points, just one point ahead of Comoros.
Gambia come in third place with 5 points, while Madagascar are at the bottom with 2 points.
