Tunisia's security forces announced the arrest of three people in the northern city of Bizerte, over charges of belonging to a terrorist organization.
A security source told the official "Tunis Africa" news agency that the three detainees were monitoring the residences of a number of soldiers in a neighborhood of Bizerte, located 65 km north of the capital Tunis.
"Last night, their residence was raided, and a group of books and leaflets bearing a terrorist orientation were seized and their mobile phones were seized as well," the agency stated.
It added that the three were arrested after consulting Tunisia's Public Prosecution Office, awaiting referral to the competent judiciary in investigating terrorist crimes.
