Thomas Tuchel officially unveiled England national football team’s squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, making several bold decisions ahead of the tournament in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

The biggest talking point from Tuchel’s selection was the exclusion of several high-profile stars, including Phil Foden, Cole Palmer, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Harry Maguire, and Luke Shaw.

Instead, the German manager opted for a squad built around balance, intensity, and versatility as England prepares for another attempt to win its first World Cup title since 1966.

Captain Harry Kane will once again lead the Three Lions alongside key stars such as Jude Bellingham, Bukayo Saka, and Declan Rice.

One of the major surprises was the return of Marcus Rashford to the national team setup after a difficult period surrounding his international future. Tuchel reportedly believes Rashford’s pace and experience could play a key role during the tournament.

England’s defensive line also features several fresh faces, including Tino Livramento, Nico O'Reilly, and Jarell Quansah, highlighting Tuchel’s intention to reshape the squad for a new era.

The Three Lions head into the World Cup carrying heavy expectations after falling short in recent international tournaments despite possessing one of the most talented generations in world football.
