Former US President Donald Trump suggested yesterday that spending on Ukraine should be suspended until Europe matches the United States in supporting Kyiv, which he estimated to be $175 billion.

Speaking on the "Truth Social" platform, Trump stated that no more dollars should be directed until Europe matches the money America has spent on Ukraine, adding that he values US spending in this context at $175 billion.

In addition, Trump presented a proposal to the current President Joe Biden's administration to press for balance in European contributions to support Kyiv alongside Washington's expenses.

Earlier, Russia had sent a memorandum to NATO member countries regarding arms supplies to Ukraine.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov emphasized that any shipment containing weapons to Ukraine would become a legitimate target for Russia.

He mentioned that the United States and NATO were directly involved in the conflict in Ukraine, not only through arms supplies but also by training Ukrainian soldiers on the territories of Britain, Germany, and other countries.

Lavrov also warned that the West's continued pumping of arms into Ukraine and fueling the conflict posed the risk of a direct military confrontation between nuclear powers.
